Blog Structures

Imagine a blog post that can carry data payloads in the post. Bluctures is a stupid little term I pulled out of the sky to describe the idea of embedding data elements in blog posts.

It was only a matter of time before discussions about Blog Structures started to appear. It's a pretty simple concept - create classes (or types) of blog posts that carry data or other types of information related to the post. It makes it possible to created extended capabilities in a basic blog. A good example might be a phone record form embedded in the blog post and the ability to capture that data while posting to say a sales activity blog.

This concept has been in use in our blogsites for more than a few years. When we designed our corporate blog platform, we envisioned precisely these kinds of use cases. We use blog posts as the basis for competitive intelligence data, search results, and even quality assurance report results.

MyST Blogsite provides built-in support for structured blogging. Contact us if you have an idea or need for blog structures.
