The Long Tail of Enterprise Search

Not surprisingly, the long-tail of search also exists in corporate search engines.

And why wouldn't it? It's a simple idea - the important search terms are the ones that were last typed by people searching for information. The benefits of knowing what caused someone to stop searching, are much much greater than knowing what terms are "popular". Popular terms are typically the first terms tried, but they are typically ambiguous.

This KMWorld event looks like a good one - very interesting that they're focusing on long-tail ideas in enterprise KM.
