MarketingSherpa study finds Blogging to be Highly Effective B2B Lead Generation

Third annual Business Technology Marketing Benchmark Guide places blogs in top five picks for generating leads.

MarketingSherpa's third annual Business Technology Marketing Benchmark Guide ranked blogs in the top five for business to business lead generation as rated in a survey of over 1900 marketers of business technology in a report released this June.

A recent article about the report in the Internet Search Engine Database revealed that "35% of business software marketers and ASPs as well as 33% of those marketing business services rated blogs as highly effective" for generating leads.

Another article at the MarketingSherpa website about the study revealed the following:

This year for the first time, blogs have joined top-rated tactics to entice prospects. I suspect this is as much due to the traffic generation from search engine friendliness of blogs to the thought leadership your management team can flaunt to build brand value.
