I was browsing one of our customer's blogsites today and happened to notice how good this artist really is.

In the mid 1990's I spent a good deal of my time in Monterey [California] building the company and the tool called QuickSite [yea - everything I've built since 1994 ends with "site" ;-)]. On weekends my wife and I used to drive through the Salinas Valley east of Monterey - it was a good place to shop and get away from the hustle of the crowds that invade Monterey on weekends.

Outhouse Studios has a blogsite about art and fine prints that Dan Beck creates that you'll find interesting. I was amazed as I browsed his blogsite how well his images capture the essence of that part of California. The smells and the images found in the "The Salad Bowl of the World" are unique; there's nothing like it anywhere. These photos are great, but Dan's art communicates the spirit of this land in a different way. Go there - take a hike, have a salad, buy a print.

When I make a few bucks on this blogsite business, I think I'll pay a visit to Dan and get me some of that culture for my art-challenged home.
